The prices above are on-the-road prices without insurance. Introductory pricing includes the RM3,000 early bird reward. According to Proton, customers must book and register their vehicle by 31 December 2026 to receive the reward, subject to terms and conditions.

1.5 NA engine and CVT: how do they differ from the turbo S70?

The Lite and Prime use a naturally aspirated engine, while the three 1.5TD variants use a turbocharged engine. The power and torque figures show a significant difference, so start your variant selection with your driving needs and budget.
For daily driving, test the car in your usual conditions: slow traffic, hills and highways. If you frequently carry passengers or overtake on highways, compare both powertrains through a test drive. Do not choose on power figures or price alone.
Lite and Prime differences and safety features
The brochure lists fabric seats for the Lite and leatherette seats for the Prime. Both belong to the 120 PS powertrain family with a CVT, so choosing between them focuses more on the equipment and comfort you need.
Proton lists features such as six airbags, a reversing camera and a rear-seat reminder on the new variants. Check other driver-assistance equipment by variant in the brochure; do not assume every Flagship feature is also available on the Lite or Prime.
At the showroom, check the seat material, infotainment display, lighting and safety functions on the actual variant. If a feature is a priority, ask for it to be listed in your quotation or order form.

To assess space practically, bring items you regularly use, such as a stroller or travel bags, when viewing the car. Try the driver's seating position and rear legroom with your family, especially if this sedan will be your main household car.

Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the ownership package
The official announcement states that wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is available from October 2026. Confirm availability on your delivery unit and any update requirements with the dealer before assuming the features are active.
The announced package includes a five-year unlimited-mileage warranty and six free labour services. Free service labour does not mean all parts, oils or consumables are free. Request the service schedule and estimated maintenance costs to assess your ownership budget.
